HSK 1

HSK (level 1) assesses the ability of the examinee to use Chinese (Mandarin) in everyday life. It is an analogue of Level A1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages ​​(CEFR). Those who successfully pass the HSK (level 1) must understand and use simple Chinese phrases, meet basic communication needs and be able to continue learning Chinese.

Purpose of the test

HSK (level 1) is aimed at those who studied Chinese during the semester (half of the academic year), 2-3 lessons per week. These students have mastered 150 common words and basic grammatical structures. The HSK test (level 1) consists of listening and reading, contains a total of 40 test items and lasts 40 minutes (including 5 minutes to complete a personal information form).

Listening

In the fourth part of the 5 tasks. The recording of each task is played twice. Each assignment sounds a sentence, then a question. The subject must choose one of three answer choices in the form.

Reading

Each task contains a sentence. The subject must choose one of the pictures that matches the meaning. In the third part of the 5 tasks. The subject must correctly compare five questions with five answers. In the fourth part of the 5 tasks. Each task contains a sentence with a missing word. The subject must choose one of the options to fill in the pass. All hieroglyphs in the test form are accompanied by pinyin transcription.

Results

For HSK (Level 1), three results will be presented: listening, reading and total score. In order for the exam to be considered passed, the subject must score at least 120 points out of 200. On admission to Chinese universities, the HSK results are valid for two years (starting from the exam date).
